Leland "Bud" C. Brendemuhl, Moorhead, MN, died August 7, 2003, at Innovis Health, Fargo, ND, at the age of 79.
Leland Christian Julius Fredrick Brendemuhl, son of Christian H. and Agnes B,. (Krabbenhoft) Brendemuhl was born July 9, 1924, in Sabin, MN. Leland attended grade school in Sabin and graduated from Moorhead State Campus High School, Moorhead, in 1942. After graduating from Interstate Business College, Fargo, Leland worked for Pioneer Mutual Insurance, Fargo.
Leland was united in marriage to Elouise M. Lovelace on August 8, 1944, in St. Paul, MN. The couple made their home in Moorhead, where Bud owned and operated the White Spot Drive In for fifteen years. He later worked for Moorhead State University, Moorhead, retiring in 1988.
"Bud" Leland had many friends in the area including Ray Krabbenhoft, Sabin, who was his friend for 73 years. He was a long time member of Grace United Methodist Church, Moorhead.
Leland is survived by his wife, Elouise, Moorhead; and three beloved sisters, Florence North, Moorhead, Fern Wilson, Torrance, CA, and Dixie (Ron) Jackson, Moorhead. He was preceded in death by his parents.
