Leo J. Lague

Leo J. Lague, 87, of Moorhead, MN, died Monday, February 16, 2015, in Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo, ND.

Leo Joseph Lague was born May 17, 1927, the son of Virgil and Victoria (Bergeron) Lague, in Moorhead. He was raised there and attended St. Joseph's Catholic School. Leo then worked for Horvick Electric Motor, Inc. until he entered the U.S. Navy in 1945. Upon returning to Moorhead after his discharge he continued working for Horvick's until opening L & L Electric Motor Service in 1947.

On December 2, 1950, he was united in marriage to DoLores Richardson in St. Mary's Cathedral in Fargo. They made their home in Moorhead where they continued to own and operate their business.

Leo's most enjoyable pastimes were fishing and golfing, one year he won the golf championship at Moorhead Country Club. He also was an avid coin collector, enjoyed attending auction sales, and going to the casino.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, DoLores; children, Gregory Lague, Moorhead, Dee Ann (Dean) Plante, Kindred, ND, and Jon Lague, Sabin, MN; grandchildren, Douglas (Billi Jo) Plante, Stephanie (Robert) Spry, Stacy Plante, Nicholas Lague, Nathan Lague, and Noah Lague; great-grandchildren, Connor, Tyberius, Kyrabella, Logan, Xavier, and Orion; brothers, Arthur (Betty) Lague and Jerome (Joy) Lague; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Albertine Johnson and Alice Bussell; brothers, Noel, and an infant brother.

A gathering of friends for Leo will be one hour prior to the memorial service.

His memorial service will be Friday, February 20, 2015, at 1:30 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery Columbarium, Moorhead, MN.
