LeRoy W. Hansen, 82, Moorhead, MN, died Thursday, July 21, 2022 in Sanford on Broadway, Fargo, ND.
LeRoy was born September 1, 1939, in Moorhead, MN to Walter and Gladys (Names) Hansen. He graduated from Moorhead High School in 1959. Before LeRoy graduated from high school, and with the blessing of his parents, he enlisted with the Air National Guard and served with the North Dakota division for six years. Following his honorable discharge, LeRoy started his long career with Cass Clay Creamery. For over 45 years, he was employed with Cass Clay Creamery, 38 years as a truck driver for the company until his retirement.

LeRoy was united in marriage to Annette June Arntson on April 5, 1963. They welcomed two children, daughter, Andrea and later a son, Matthew. LeRoy enjoyed working on the farm and living the rural life. On the farm, he was able to build things from scratch, tinker on anything that needed a fix and be in the open air, mowing the grass. He loved having a good cup of coffee, reading the newspaper and watching the daily news. He even kept up with “Keeping Up with The Kardashians” T.V. series and enjoyed listening to local talk radio.

LeRoy enjoyed his travels to visit his daughter in Colorado, spending time with his family, especially his grandson Max.

He will be remembered and missed by his wife of 59 years, June Hansen; daughter, Andrea (Mike) Bishop; son, Matthew Hansen; grandson, Max Bishop; one sister, Janice Lindgren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Loreta Hansen; one brother, Lawrence; sister-in-law, Margaret Hansen; and brother-in-law, David Lindgren.

Memorial Service for LeRoy will be Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 10am in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior. Interment will be in Grove Lake Cemetery, rural Pelican Rapids, MN.
