Leslie D. Roehl

Leslie Dean Roehl, 62, of Moorhead, MN, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 20, 2017, after a courageous battle with an aggressive cancer.

Leslie was born on March 15, 1955, to Robert and Valdine (Anderson) Roehl, in Fergus Falls, MN, and grew up on the family farm west of there. He graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1973, and from Alexandria (MN) Vocational School in 1975. He was a mechanical draftsman/designer for a few companies including Steiger Tractor in the 1970's and 80's, until he began his career with Applied Engineering in 1987. He worked there for 30 years. He married Denise Mollenhoff, his "wonderful wife," on May 27, 1988, at Salem Evangelical Free Church in Fargo, ND.

Leslie enjoyed the outdoors including biking, camping, canoeing, hiking, and fishing. He also enjoyed woodworking and remodeling. He was always designing and building something. He had an adventurous spirit and a unique sense of humor and perspective on life.

Leslie is survived by his wife, Denise; his two daughters, Chelsea, Schaumburg, IL, and Leah, Moorhead; his parents, Robert and Valdine Roehl, Fergus Falls; his siblings, Deborah (Dean) Davis, Apple Valley, MN, Daniel (Carol) Roehl, Fergus Falls, Larry (Laurie) Roehl, Iowa City, IA, Jonathan (Annie) Roehl, Fergus Falls, Margie (Blaine) Rasmussen, Rothsay, MN, and Richard (Marilyn) Roehl, West Fargo, ND; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Leslie will be Wednesday, April 26, 2017, beginning at 10 AM, with a funeral at 11 AM, in Salem (East) Evangelical Free Church, Moorhead.
