Leslie J. Jenkins, 59, Fargo, ND, died Saturday, February 19, 2005, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo.
Leslie James Jenkins was born June 14, 1945, in Wheaton, MN, to Bernard and Ellen (Yoder) Jenkins. Leslie was raised in the Wheaton and Detroit Lakes, MN, areas.
The family moved to the West Fargo, ND, area when he was a teenager and he graduated from West Fargo High School. Leslie served in the US Air Force from 1964 to 1968, and was stationed in Hawaii. He returned to the area following his discharge from the service.
Leslie was united in marriage to Linda Anderson, April 24, 1971, in Watertown, SD, and they made their home in Fargo. Les worked at Fargo Foundry and drove taxicab for a number of years. For the past twenty-eight years, Les worked for Holsum Bakery, now Pan-O-Gold Baking Company, Fargo.
Leslie is survived by his wife, Linda, Fargo; two daughters, Sheila and Sarah, both at home; a son, Daniel (Valerie) Jenkins, Fargo; two sisters, Ardys Jenkins, Vergas, MN, and Evelyn (Steven) Walters, Fargo; and a brother, Dennis Jenkins, Fargo.
Leslie was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Steven and Bruce; and two sisters, Mary and Kathryn.
