Lila Delores Braton, 82, of Cedar Falls, IA, and formerly of Moorhead, MN, entered into the presence of her Lord on Friday morning, June 13, 2008, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, surrounded by her children and their spouses.
Lila was born on December 5, 1925, in Portland, ND, the daughter of William and Anna Rindy. She completed her schooling in Portland and attended business school in Fargo, ND. On August 24, 1946, she married Delos A. Braton of Barnesville, MN. They made their home in Moorhead. Delos died on February 1, 1984. Lila was a homemaker and held part-time positions in bookkeeping with First Federal Savings and Loan, American Crystal Sugar Company, Wylie Trucking Company and Stop-N-Go Convenience Stores. She was a charter member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Moorhead where she was active in several areas including the Altar Guild. Along with church, she volunteered for Eventide Lutheran Home, Camp Fire, and Cub Scouts. Family and friends could always count on the coffee being on at Lila's since she spent many appreciated hours in the kitchen baking delicious cookies, bars and Norwegian lefse.
