Lila M. Robinson, age 94, of Fargo, ND, formerly of Moorhead, MN, died Wednesday, July 7, 2004 in Bethany Homes, Fargo.
Lila Marie Bieri, the daughter of Gotleib and Margreth (Steiner) Bieri, was born July 3, 1910, at Ross, ND. When she was 10 years old, the family moved to Blaisdell, ND, where Lila grew up and received her education. She graduated from high school in 1928.
On June 6, 1930, Lila was united in marriage to Merle D. Robinson, at Minot, ND. Following their marriage, they lived in Minot. In 1941, they moved to Moorhead, MN. Lila was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Moorhead. After her husband's retirement, the couple spent winters in Mesa, AZ.
In 1999, Lila and Merle moved to Bethany Homes in Fargo, ND. Merle died on June 16, 2002. Lila continued to live at Bethany Homes, until her death. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and six brothers.
She is survived by two daughters, Eldora Haakenson, Fargo, and Sharon Robinson, Rockford, MN; a son, Robert (Joyce) Robinson, Blaine, MN; a sister, Lucille Broughton, Shelby, Montana; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation: one hour before the funeral at the church.
Funeral service: Monday, July 12, 2004, at 2:00 PM,
First Presbyterian Church,
Moorhead, Minnesota.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
