Lillian A. McEvers, 87, Moorhead, MN, died Monday, December 17, 2007, in MeritCare Medical Center, Fargo, ND.
Lillian Anna Eva Hegge was born January 11, 1920, in rural Rustad, MN, to Abraham and Lena (Buseth) Hegge. She grew up in rural Rustad where she also received her education.
On June 19, 1942, Lillian married Lester McEvers on the family farmstead near Baker, MN. They made their home in Baker where they farmed for many years. In 1977, they moved to Moorhead.
On October 24, 1984, Lester died and Lillian continued to make her home in Moorhead. She enjoyed sewing and baking and was active in her church, serving as a Deacon and as a member of the PW Circle. She volunteered at St. Ansgar Hospital and enjoyed socializing with her many friends. Most important to Lillian was her family and she took great pride in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lillian is survived by three sons, Allen (Ruth) McEvers, Port Hadlock, WA, Gary McEvers, Moorhead, and Randy (Donna) McEvers, Sabin, MN; a daughter, A.J. (Craig) Valan, Moorhead; seven grandchildren, Beth Taylor, Kim (Jerry) Monroe, Ronda (Jason) Bolgrean
Visitation: Thursday from 6 - 8 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Funeral Service: Friday, December 21, 2007, at 11 AM, in First Presbyterian Church, Moorhead.
Inurnment: Elmwood Cemetery, Sabin
