Lillian Cochran

Lillian Rachel Cochran, 81, Moorhead, MN, died Wednesday, November 9, 2022, under hospice care.

Lillian was born February 10, 1941, in Allegheny County, VA, to Harry Gorden and Effie (Tucker) Kemper. 

With her fiery personality, she said to make this short, to the point, and don’t ramble. So here’s the rest of the information.

Lillian leaves behind two sons, Richard Cochran, Gainesville, FL, and Kenneth (Nelsene) Cochran, Kissimmee, FL; two daughters, Lillian (Dennis) Derkey, Georgetown, MN, and Paula (Mark) Cochran Moran of  Palm Bay, FL; two sisters, Betty (Leonard) Angle, Venton VA, and Barbra Nicely, Cibolo, TX; sister-in-law, Mary Kemper, Kempner, TX; and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Kemper,  Roanoke, VA; seven grandkids, Dale (Jennifer) Cochran, Johnny Cochran, Colt Cochran, Travis Bass, Katie (Travis) Buzick, John G. Cochran, Jennifer (Michael) Wilson, and Melany (Evan) Thomas; fourteen great-grandkids; and numerous nephews and nieces. 

She is preceded by her parents, Harry and Effie Kemper; brothers, Johnny Kemper, Lenwood “Woody” Kemper, Larry Kemper, and Vernon Kemper; and her sister, Joyce Campbell.

Much like her obituary, Lillian wanted her service to be short and to the point.  A family graveside service will be held in Lone Star Cemetery, Covington, VA, at a future date.
