Linda Barth

Linda Barth, 73, Moorhead, MN, died Monday, July 22, 2019, in Eventide, Fargo, ND.
Linda Renfrew was born June 1, 1946, in Fargo to Ernest and Sylvia (Hawkins) Renfrew. They lived in the Halstad, MN, area, where Linda grew up and graduated from high school in 1964. She graduated from MSU, with her bachelor's degree in elementary education.
Linda married Wayne Tursso in August of 1973. They have a beautiful daughter, Christy Angela. Their marriage ended in divorce.
On December 17, 1983, Linda married the "love of her life", Tom Barth, in Oak Mound Church, rural Kragnes, MN. They made their home in rural Moorhead for 23 years, prior to moving to Moorhead in 2006. They are members of Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church, Moorhead.
Among Linda's passions were dancing, 50s and 60s music, traditional country music, scrapbooking, the San Antonio Spurs, animals, and volunteering at the Humane Society.
Linda taught full time in Litchfield, MN, Rothsay, MN, and on the White Earth Indian Reservation. She was a substitute teacher for many years in Burnsville, MN, Detroit Lakes, MN, Moorhead, Des Moines, IA, and in Fargo. From 1990 to 1997, she was head school-age teacher at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Moorhead, where she provided after-school and summer programs for school-agers. She was a substitute teacher for the Fargo Public Schools and for Park Christian School, Moorhead, until she retired in 2012.
In 2009, Linda began her political activism, by attending rallies and tea parties in support of the Christian conservative movement and traditional values.
Linda is survived by her husband, Tom, Moorhead; her daughter, Christy Ryland, Woodbury, MN; stepsons, Brandon and Josh; seven precious grandchildren, Aiden - her pride and joy, Maya - her sunshine, Piper - her princess, Liam - her sweetheart, Bella - her little rascal, Seamus - her teddy bear, and Ellie - her angel; a sister, Corrine Johnson, Lake Park, MN; and a brother, John (Brenda) Renfrew, West Fargo, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Sylvia; and a sister, Sharon Johnson.
Visitation for Linda will be Thursday, July 25, 2019, from 4 PM until 7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Her funeral service will be Friday at 11 AM in Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church in Moorhead.
