Linda Granrud

Linda C. Granrud, 70, Hawley, MN, died Friday, September 13, 2024, in Essentia Health, of natural causes, following a prolonged medical illness.

Linda was born February 26, 1954, in Bismarck, ND, to Arthur and Emma Jean (Waltz) Reinhart. Linda graduated from high school in Moorhead, MN, and proudly served her country in the US Army.

Linda married Richard Granrud on June 22, 1991, on their property on Lake 15, near Rollag, MN. She loved living there with her husband of thirty-three years. 

Over the years, Linda worked as a cook and she retired from food service at NDSU, Fargo. She had an active in robust interest in life; gardening, raising flowers and vegetables on the farm. She was an animal lover, especially her current dogs Gilda and Frankie.

Linda enjoyed her family and participated in many family reunions. She also loved to travel by Amtrak, and visited California several times. She also loved to watch sports on TV. 

She is survived by her husband, Richard; mother, Emma Jean Lecy, Fargo; siblings, Randy Reinhart, Fargo, Tracy Snater, Hawley, Neil Lecy, Fargo, and Kelly Hoffman, Fargo.

She was preceded in death by her father, Art Reinhart; stepfather, Art Lecy; sister, Peggy; and nephew, Jake Davis.

Visitation will begin at 10 AM, Monday, October 7, 2024, with a Life Celebration service at 11 AM, in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service, Moorhead. Burial, with full military honors will be at 2 PM, in Fargo National Cemetery, Harwood, ND
