Lionel married Dominga in 1963, in Wautoma, WI, and they moved to Moorhead, MN, in 1974. Lionel and Dominga renewed their vows on August 16, 2003, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Moorhead.
Lionel died Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND, at seventy-one years of age.
Lionel is survived by his wife, Dominga; they are the proud parents of Andy, Leo (Mari), Thomas, Mary Ann (Kevin) Pattengale, Beatrice (Steve) Tinjum, David, and Moses (Grace); eighteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and siblings, Enriqueta, Arturo (Stacy), Thomas (Rose), Lydia (Greg) Briones, Gloria (Rufus) Serola, Olga (Ted) Peraliz, Emma Garcia, and Ramon.
The Funeral Mass for Lionel will be Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at 11 AM, in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead.
Visitation will be at the church one hour before the Mass.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead.
