Lloyd Donald Stene was born March 16, 1925, to Lars and Dinah (Oien) Stene, on the family farm in Norman County, near Hendrum, MN. Lloyd was raised on the farm and attended rural schools for his education.
Lloyd was united in marriage to Alice Egerdahl, October 26, 1951, in Duluth, MN. They lived and farmed in the Hendrum area until they moved to Moorhead, MN, in 2006. They moved to Dilworth, MN, in 2008.
Lloyd truly loved farming and maintained his interest in the farm even after moving to town. Lloyd was a member of First Assembly of God, Fargo, ND.
Lloyd had a strong faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He went home to be with his Lord Monday, November 29, 2010, at his home in Dilworth.
Lloyd is survived by his wife of over fifty-nine years, Alice, Dilworth; a son, Jerry (Janine) Stene, Fargo; three daughters, Jane (Kevin) Johnson, Brainerd, MN, Joyce (John) Howard, Fargo, and June (Mike) Radke, Dilworth; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and brothers and sisters, Irene Christianson, Halstad, MN, Allen (Evelyn) Stene, Ada, MN, and Betty Dale, Crookston, MN.
Visitation for Lloyd will be Wednesday from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
His funeral will be Wednesday at 2:30 PM, in the Korsmo Chapel.
Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
