Lloyd Maynard Bergeson was born January 1, 1928, in Willmar, MN, to Bendie and Gladys (Hagen) Bergeson. Lloyd grew up on a farm and attended school outside of Spicer.
Lloyd loved to work. His first job was shoveling ice for Great Northern Railroad. At one point early in his adulthood he held three jobs, working twenty hour days first at Great Northern Railroad, then making ice cream at Central Dairy and finally putting on a uniform for the Willmar police department.
He met his future wife, Lois Bergeson in Willmar, and they were joined in marriage at the First Presbyterian Church in Willmar on April 10, 1948. Together they raised three children, Steve, Cindi and David, and settled in Moorhead, MN, in 1965 when Lloyd went to work for Dakon. He spent the next thirty years selling farm equipment throughout Minnesota and North Dakota first for Dakon, then as a wholesale rep for several farm equipment companies.
Lloyd's other passion was to travel, covering all fifty states and over twenty countries abroad with Lois in their fifty-seven years of marriage. Lloyd and Lois would spend the winter months in Mesa, AZ, with their fellow "Snowbirds." Summers were spent at their cabin on Pelican Lake, MN, where Lloyd would fish, golf, and play cards.
Lloyd joined his beloved wife Lois in eternal life Thursday, March 22, 2007, at Merit Care Hospital. Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Cindi Brandon, Moorhead, MN; two sons, Steven (Susan) Bergeson, Jordan, MN, and David (Natalie) Bergeson, Los Angeles,
