Lois M. Broste

Lois Broste, 64, of Moorhead, MN, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015, in Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

Lois Marie Rodgers, the daughter of James and Martha "Dolly" (Paetz) Rodgers, was born May 16, 1951, in Minot, ND. She was raised on the family farm near Parshall, ND, where she graduated from Parshall High School. She was once married to Wayne Broste, and to this union three children were born.

Lois made her home in Parshall until 1999 when she moved to St. Cloud, MN. In 2003, she moved to Moorhead where she worked at Arbor Park Assisted Living until the time of her passing from pancreatic cancer. Lois enjoyed fishing, camping, horses and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Dawn Broste, Billings, MT, Sheila Smith, West Fargo, ND, and Jared Broste, of Fargo; grandchildren, Cory Smith, Mia Crane and Hemi Ackerly; mother, Dolly Rodgers, Minot; brothers and sisters, Joseph (Brenda) Rodgers, Bismarck, ND, Sandra (Leslie) Enockson, Makoti, ND, Darlene Woods, Minot, James (Lisa) Rodgers, Minot, Linda Nissen, Bismarck, and John (Robin) Rodgers, Parshall; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and a daughter-in-law, Raeann Germain-Broste.

A gathering of friends for Lois will be one hour prior to her memorial service.

Her Memorial Service will be Saturday, August 29, 2015, at 3 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Burial for Lois will take place in Parshall Catholic Cemetery, Parshall, ND.
