Lois Morsch Sobolik

Lois Morsch Sobolik, 89, of Moorhead, MN, died peacefully Friday, September 6, 2013, in Arbor Park Living Center in Moorhead, surrounded by her family.

Lois Kathryn Sundby, the daughter of Anton and Caroline (Eken) Sundby, was born October 5, 1923, on the family farm in Traill County, ND. She was raised there and graduated from Hillsboro (ND) High School in 1941 and then attended business college in Fargo, ND. On January 17, 1946, she was united in marriage to George J. Morsch and they made their home in Moorhead. George died in 1986.

Lois retired from Farm Credit Services in 1988. On May 5, 1989, she married Manes "Whitey" Sobolik. They lived in Moorhead and Apache Junction, Arizona.

Lois is survived by her husband, Whitey; two daughters, Karen (Walter) Hamilton of Amesbury, MA, and Janet (Anthony) Barclay of Rockford, MI; two sons, Gary (Cindy) of Ottertail, MN, and George "Randy" (Kristi) of Moorhead; three stepsons, Gary (Lisa), Darrel (Gayle) and Glenn (Mary) of California; twelve grandchildren; six great-granddaughters; and nine step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; and a daughter, Margaret "Peggy" Nustad.

Visitation: One hour prior to service in the church.
Memorial Service: Monday, September 9, 2013, at 11:00 AM, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Moorhead.
Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
