Loren William Schuck was born May 12, 1947, in Fargo, ND, to Loren and Ruth Shuck. Loren was raised in the Fargo-Moorhead area.
Loren worked many years for Crane Johnson Lumber Company and Branick Industries, both Fargo. While extremely proud of the hard work he accomplished throughout his life, Loren also enjoyed his well-earned retirement. Whether sitting on a bus bench or at the Eighth St. Dairy Queen, many people knew Loren as a fixture of downtown Moorhead.
He was at his happiest when he was around people and when he could engage them in lively conversation. And just as important as Loren's friends were to him, he cherished his monthly visits with his mother Ruth.
Loren died peacefully on Thursday, October 4, 2012, at Sanford Health, Fargo, at sixty-five years of age.
Loren is survived by his mother, Ruth, Hawley, MN; sister, Mary (Royal) Erickson, Moorhead; nieces, Shannon Raney and Rochelle Else, both Moorhead; nephews, Jeffrey Else Jr., and Justin Erickson, both Moorhead, and Devin (Kaleena) Erickson, Dilworth; five great-nieces and great-nephews; and one great-great-niece.
He was preceded in death by his father; an aunt, Barbara Hanneman; and a great-nephew, Nicholas.
Funeral: Wednesday at 2 PM, Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Visitation: one hour before the funeral, at Korsmo Funeral Chapel
