Lorena G. Bommersbach

Lorena Grace Kackman was born March 15, 1924, to Henry and Martha (Kube) Kackman, near Hankinson, ND, where she grew up and attended school.
During WWII, Lorena worked for Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, WA. She was married to Ralph Bommersbach on December 2, 1947, in Hankinson, and they lived in Chicago, IL, for nine years. They moved to Moorhead, MN, in 1956. Her beloved Ralph died on July 20, 2004.
Lorena also volunteered at the YMCA, where she enjoyed working with the pre-school children.
Lorena died peacefully on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, at eighty-eight years of age.
She is survived by her son, Keith (Lisa) Bommersbach, Fairfield, CA; three grandchildren, Jennifer Bommersbach, Seattle ,WA, Heather (Shawn) Bommersbach-Mulholland, Vacaville, CA, and Michael (Jennifer) Meadows, Fresno, CA; great-granddaughter, Macayla Meadows, Fresno; sister, Regina Harrel, Portland, OR; and a brother, Floyd Kackman, Hankinson.
In addition to her husband, Lorena was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Pearl Pankow; and two brothers, Wilbur and Wesley Kackman.
Visitation will be Friday, November 30, 2012, from 5 - 7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Funeral Mass Saturday, December 1, 2012, at 2 PM, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moorhead.
