Lorene E. Dietz

Lorene Esther Dietz was born September 6, 1914, to Christian and Barbara (Heil) Dietz in Elgin, ND, and she grew up on a farm outside of Elgin. Lorene moved with her parents to Bismarck, ND, where she was a resident of the Baptist Home for thirty years. In November of 1995, Lorene moved to Fargo, ND, to be close to her sister and she became a resident of Elim Care Center.

Lorene died Thursday, April 28, 2005, at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo.

Lorene was a sweet and beloved member of the family. She enjoyed crafts, especially making hooked rugs, and would often give the crafts she made to family members. Lorene enjoyed laughing and having fun. She was especially fond of animals and children. Although she was hearing impaired, she was very independent and did many things on her own.

Lorene is survived by her sister, Stella Emery, Moorhead, MN, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, Ernest and Rayfield.
