Loretta Jean Carlson, age 56, died in Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 7, 2012, under the care of hospice.
Loretta, the daughter of Alex and Mary (Dauphanais) Vondal Jr., was born in Walhalla, ND, on February 11, 1956. She grew up and received her education in Grand Forks, ND and Fargo, ND. As a young lady, Loretta lived and worked in Minneapolis, MN, Syracuse, NY, and Phoenix, AZ. In 1986, she made her home in Las Vegas, where she worked at a number of jobs until retirement.
Loretta loved to cook and enjoyed sharing her food with many people. She was very kind hearted and truly enjoyed life.
Loretta is survived by her mother, Mary Vondal of Fargo; sisters, Deb Broderson, Fargo, Rose (Gene) Knudtson, Dilworth, MN, and Patricia Vondal, Fargo; a brother, Cameron (June) Vondal, West Fargo, ND; a special friend and companion, David Underwood; and a number of nieces and nephews.
