Lorraine Crowley

September 4, 1927 — November 28, 2014

Lorraine Helene Margaret Crowley peacefully entered the presence of Jesus on Friday, November 28, 2014 after suffering from complications of congestive heart failure and osteoporosis. Lorraine was the last of eight children born to Arthur and Josephine Skarvold on September 4, 1927 in Christine, ND. In 1937 she moved with her family into Fargo, ND, where she attended Horace Mann and Roosevelt schools. She married Francis "Irish" Crowley of Hawley, MN in 1947 and settled in Fargo where they raised their family of four children.

Lorraine's husband Francis, her parents, and all seven of her siblings preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Maureen (George) Kerce, Lake City, FL, Dr. Lana Crowley (Mark McGrew), Hawley, MN, Curtis Crowley, Shelly, MN, and Gregory (Mari Lynn) Crowley, Bloomington, MN; her seven grandchildren; and a faithful friend of 70 years, Hjordis "Joey" Root.
Lorraine displayed a loving and generous heart. She embodied an active and adventurous spirit. Her favorite passage of Scripture was Psalm 103.

Her funeral service will be Monday, December 1, 2014, at 11 AM, in Pontoppidan Lutheran Church, Fargo, with Pastor Doug Klungvedt officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral.

Memorials preferred to either Pontoppidan Lutheran Church or Hospice of the Red River Valley.
