Lova S. Dyer, 87, died Sunday, January 19, 2014, under Hospice care at Touchmark, Fargo, ND.
Born August 3, 1926 in Calgary, Alberta, Lova loved her family first and foremost. She loved daisies and tulips, Gull Lake, Alberta, dogs and horses, a sunset, a painting, a good game of Scrabble or charades and everything Canada. She enjoyed a thought-provoking book, a glass of good wine, a cup of tea, inspiring music and a brisk walk. She was a great encourager of anything her children, their spouses, grandchildren or great-grandchildren ventured to try. She was a loyal friend and had a witty sense of humor.
It was Lova's desire to leave this world quietly. According to her wishes, there will be no memorial service. A private celebration of her life is planned by her family.
Lova is survived by her husband, John, Fargo; son, Neil (Lori), Moorhead, MN; daughter, Elizabeth (Ken) Horner, Centennial, CO; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Richard Dyer, and her brother, Emery Shilleto.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Hospice of the Red River Valley. Arrangements by Korsmo Funeral Service, Moorhead, MN.
