Mabel A. Jacobson, Moorhead, died Saturday, March 24, 2007, at Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, at the age of 99.
Mabel Alvida Lien, daughter of John and Maline (Heggen) was born September 11, 1907, in Harvey, ND, where she grew up and attended country school.
In 1928, Mabel was united in marriage to Bernhard King. The couple had two daughters and farmed near Harvey, ND, until his death in 1934. Mabel then lived on a farm with her mother until moving to Fargo, ND, in 1943, where she held various jobs.
In 1955, Mabel was united in marriage to Lavern Grandbois. The couple lived in Minneapolis, MN, until his death in 1965. Mabel moved back to the Moorhead area and moved into Riverview Heights in 1969. She retired in 1972.
In 1974, she married Henry Jacobson. They made their home at Riverview Heights. Henry died in 1986. In 1997, Mabel moved into the Eventide Living Center, and in November of 2006, she moved into the Eventide Lutheran Home.
Mabel is survived by her two daughters, Muriel Thon, Sherwood, OR, and Lois (Ralph) Beske, Moorhead; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one foster sister, Alice Gill. In addition to her husbands, she was pr
