Margie C. Puetz, 84, Moorhead, MN, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead.

Margie Caroline Kjos, the daughter of Sern and Helen (Johnson) Kjos, was born Oct. 31, 1922 on the family farm near DeLamere, ND. She grew up and attended school in the DeLamere area. She graduated from high school at Wyndmere, ND in 1940, and attended business college in Fargo, ND.
As a young lady, Margie worked in a bank at Drayton, ND, and later returned to DeLamere. In 1946, she was married to Arvid Johnson. They lived in California and Oregon. Arvid died in March of 1964. After his death, Margie moved to Minneapolis, MN.

On September 18, 1971, Margie married Arnold Puetz, at Roseville, MN. They made their home in Moorhead, where Margie worked at Norwest Bank. After retiring, she worked part-time at the junior high as a lunch room supervisor and she and Arnie displayed and sold items at local craft fairs. She was active in her church for many years.

Margie is survived by her husband, Arnold, Moorhead; three children, Sheryl Dunn, Shakopee, MN, James (Cindy) Johnson, Corcoran, MN, and Kathy (Thomas) Flieth, Fargo; four step-children, Cindy Swanson, and Diane, Daniel, and David (Bernadine) Puetz; two sisters, Carol Mothershead and Shirley Sutton; eleven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her first husband, Arvid, she was preceded in death by her parents, a stepson and a granddaughter.


Visitation: Saturday, one hour prior to the funeral.


Funeral service: Saturday, May 5, 2007, at 3 PM,
Christ the King Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
