Marian Helen Carlson, 94, Wolverton, MN, died January 30, 2011, in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN.
Marian was born February 22, 1916, in rural Comstock, MN, the daughter of Ole and Ella (Swenson) Edwards. She married Clarence Carlson in 1936, and together they farmed near Comstock for many years. Upon retirement, they moved to Wolverton. She was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church, and then Faith Lutheran Church, Wolverton.
Survivors include daughters, Carol Jean (Rollie) Flom, Crystal, MN, and Joyce (Art) Ollie, Clinton, Iowa; son, Craig, Anchorage, Alaska; sisters, Agnes Cook, Silver Springs, FL, Harriet Ness, Wolverton, Clarice Hughes, Fargo, Norma (Vern) Janke, Wheaton, MN, and Grace (Bob) Ellis, Fort Collins, CO; brothers, Orville (Betty) Edwards, Grand Forks, ND, Earl (Ethel) Edwards, Wolverton, and Lloyd Edwards, Grand Forks; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, who died in 1996; her parents; sisters, Ethel and Leone; brothers, LeRoy and Edward; a grandchild; and many brothers and sisters-in-law.
Visitation: One hour prior to the funeral, at the church.
