Marie Danielson, age 88, formerly of Moorhead, MN, died January 7, 2016, in Auburn Manor nursing home in Chaska, MN.

Marie Ann Stordahl was born May 2, 1927, in rural Hendrum, MN, to John K. and Effie (Berg) Stordahl. Marie graduated from Hendrum High School in 1944. After graduation, she attended Moorhead State Teachers College and taught at at both Herberg School, near Halstad, MN, and Noble School, near Gardner, ND.

Marie married Henry Danielson of Perley, MN, at her home near Hendrum on June 7, 1947. They lived and farmed in the Perley and Borup (MN) area for twenty-four years. Marie loved to sew and was active in her community and at Bethania Lutheran Church. They moved to Moorhead in 1971, where she worked at JCPenney, St. Luke's Hospital and the Moorhead Target store.

Marie is survived by her children, Kim Danielson, Poplar Grove, IL, and Trona (Mark) Miller, Eden Prairie, MN; grandchildren, Bradley Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Carrie Gabrik, Candyce Miller, Clinton Miller, Tyler Danielson and Bryce Danielson; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; a son, Kelvin Danielson; and a daughter, Galyn Ugland.

Memorials preferred to Bethania Cemetery Association or First Presbyterian Church of Moorhead.

Visitation will be Monday, January 11, 2016, 12 noon until 1 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1 PM, in First Presbyterian Church, Moorhead. Burial will be in Bethania Lutheran Cemetery, rural Perley.
