Marie DiBrito

December 15, 1919 — June 22, 2009

Marie McGinnis was born December 15, 1919, in Fargo, ND, to Arthur and Lucille (Hart) McGinnis. Marie was raised in Dilworth, MN, where she graduated from high school. She attended The College of Saint Scholastica in Duluth, MN.
Marie was united in marriage to Joseph DiBrito on September 21, 1940, in Dilworth. She worked at the Post Office in Dilworth, Sears in Fargo, and Montgomery Ward in Moorhead, MN. Joe preceded her in death on October 12, 1990.
Marie and Joe celebrated fifty wonderful years together. Mom loved spending time together with her family and friends at home and at Middle Cormorant Lake. They spent many Saturday nights dancing and they enjoyed traveling to warm spots in the winter. Marie also spent many Sundays preparing spaghetti for relatives and friends although she never ate it.
Marie spent her last years in Cold Spring until her death on June 22, 2009, at eighty-nine years of age. We are sure mom and dad are together again dancing the night away. Marie was a much loved wife, mother and grandmother. She was of strong faith and prayed the rosary daily for her family. She will be deeply missed.
Marie is lovingly survived by her four children, David (Shirley) DiBrito and Steve (Vicki) DiBrito, both Cold Spring, Julie (Rod) Miller, Little Falls, MN, and Colette Haskins, Moorhead; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Delphine Anderson, Park Rapids, MN, and Marcia Nesemeier, Athens, PA.
In addition to her husband, Marie was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Billy.
The DiBrito family would like to thank you for your expressions of sympathy.
Visitation for Marie will be Thursday, June 25, 2009, from 5 - 7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Her Funeral Mass will be Friday, June 26, 2009, at 10 AM, in St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Dilworth.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead.
