Marilyn Smith

Marilyn Dorothy Smith, 89, died peacefully in her home in Moorhead, MN, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley, on Saturday, May 20, 2017.

Marilyn, the daughter of Glenn and Edna (Johnson) Smith, was born in Fargo, ND on Feb. 7, 1928. She lived in Fargo, prior to living in Beverly Hills, California and in Minneapolis, MN. She later returned to Fargo to care for her elderly mother. Most recently she had resided in Tranquility Place Adult Foster Care, Moorhead.

Marilyn never married, was an only child, and was preceded in death by her parents. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead. She enjoyed reading, sewing and working on her family tree. She truly enjoyed coffee with her friends, Richard, Mildred, Kenneth and Nicholas, at Tranquility Place. She always had a quick wise crack to share.

A memorial service for Marilyn will be held in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at 1 PM.
