Marion J. Israelson

Marion J. Israelson, 94, of Moorhead, MN, formerly of Wolverton, MN, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017, in Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead.

Marion Joanne Knutson, daughter of Ole and Emma (Granholt) Knutson was born in Christine, ND, on Nov. 5, 1923. She grew up and received her education in Christine. On June 28, 1947, she was married to Quentin H. Israelson, in Moorhead. They lived on the family farm northeast of Wolverton, where they raised their family. In 2000, the couple moved into Wolverton. In 2011, they moved to Moorhead, where Marion lived in Eventide Linden Tree and later in Eventide on Eighth.

Marion is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Larry) Conklin, Pelican Rapids, MN; sons, David (Lynn) Israelson, Detroit Lakes, MN, and Frank Israelson, Wolverton; a sister, Edna King, Upland, CA; grandchildren, Ryan Babb, Luke (Tracy) Conklin, Quentin (Kathy) Conklin, Grant Israelson, and Lindsay (Chris) Paulson; great-grandchildren, Bram, Bryce and Tyler Conklin; and great-great-granddaughter, Scarlett Conklin; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Quentin, who died on April 14, 2015, Marion was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and four sisters.
The family extends their sincere thanks to Eventide Linden Tree and Eventide on Eighth, both in Moorhead, for their wonderful care for Marion.

Visitation for Marion will be one hour prior to the memorial service. Marion's memorial service will be Friday, November 17, 2017, at 2 PM, in Faith Lutheran Church, Wolverton.
