Mark S. Johnson

Mark Stephen Johnson, 69, West Fargo, ND, passed away Friday morning, April 20, 2018, at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND, with his wife and daughter by his side.

Mark was born February 24, 1949, the youngest of eight children, the son of James and Alvina (Wold) Johnson, at Grand Forks, ND. Mark entered the US Army in April 1969, and he served with the 4th Infantry Division during the Vietnam War.

He and Eileen Dahlum married August 25, 1969, in East Grand Forks, MN. Mark found the job of a lifetime from 2004 to the time of his death.

Mark is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Eileen of West Fargo; daughter, Cher "Bear", Moorhead, MN; sisters, Sandy (Robert) Blair, Phyllis Krumholz, and Carol Anderson, all of Grand Forks, and Karen "Dovey" Moen of Silverdale, WA; four grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sister; and one grandson.

Visitation will be from 1 PM to 2 PM, with a Life Celebration service at 2 PM, Sunday, April 29, 2018, in Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Moorhead.
