Marsha M. Melroe, 50, Phoenix, AZ, formerly Fargo, ND, died May 10, 2004, in her home.
Marsha Marie (Miller) Melroe, the daughter of Glenn and Rosie (Lemke) Miller, was born on October 29, 1953, in Moorhead, MN. She grew up on a farm near Baker, MN. Marsha was baptized June 29, 1954, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Barnesville, MN, by Rev. H.A. Romness, and confirmed into the Lutheran faith on April 7, 1968, by Rev. Paul Knutson. Marsha was a member of the A-Okay 4-H Club, in which she raised sheep, and was active in food, clothing and gardening projects. She was a graduate of Barnesville High School, where she played flute and was head majorette. Marsha later graduated from Josef's School of Hair Design, Fargo, in 1998.
On December 29, 1971, Marsha was united in marriage to Roger E. Wagner of Barnesville. Three children were born to this marriage, Laura L. Strand, Tracy M. Brockhaus, and Vance R. Wagner. During the years of raising her children, she was active in teaching Sunday School, being a Brownie Girl Scout leader, and playing volleyball and golf.
Marsha worked for Norwest Bank, Wahpeton, ND, and for several years at the Farmers Mill & Elevator, Hankinson, ND. She later worked for Applied Engineering, West Fargo, ND, her favorite employer, which she thought of as her family.
October 15, 1999, was the happiest day, when she was united in marriage to Bruce E. Melroe, the love of her life, at First Lutheran Church, Fargo. In November 1999, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, which she continued to battle until the time of her death.
In January 2001, Marsha and Bruce moved to Phoenix, AZ, where she was employed by Carollo Engineers. Marsha continued cancer treatment and was a source of support, encouragement, and prayer for others. Many times her illness gave her an opportunity to wit
