Marvin L. Kuehl

Marvin L. Kuehl, 93, Moorhead, MN, died Sunday, December 8, 2024, in Bethany On University in Fargo, ND, under the care of Hospice. 

Marvin was born August 22, 1931, in Moorhead, MN, to Ferdinand and Lela (Tabatt) Kuehl. He was raised on a farm outside of Glyndon, MN with his 11 siblings. 

Marvin later moved to California with a couple of friends and worked at Douglas Aircraft factory before being drafted into the Army. He served two years during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Germany. Following his honorable discharge. Marv moved back to Glyndon. He worked various construction jobs along the Minnesota/North Dakota border.

On September 5th, 1958, Marvin was united in marriage to Beverly Rosenfeldt. They soon welcomed two children, David and Nancy. In 1966, they moved to Colorado Springs, CO, where Marv drove truck for Coca-Cola. He later started working in the concrete business and found his niche. He started his own concrete business and was self employed for many years before retiring in 1993. Marv loved their home in Colorado but made the decision to move back to Moorhead in 1995. 

 Marv enjoyed hunting and fishing in Colorado along with traveling. He and Beverly spent several winters in Port Arkansas, TX, where Marv fished in the Gulf of Mexico. He also loved to dance and listen to country music. Visiting with his neighbors was always a highlight to his day and during his spare time, Marv was often creating solutions for everyday problems. During the past year, his health started to decline but he kept his sense of humor to the end. 

Marv will be remembered and missed by his wife of 66 years, Beverly; their son, David; one brother, Donald Kuehl; one sister, Beverly Edenborg; sister-in-law, JoAnne (Paul); brother-in-law, Steven Rosenfeldt; and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy; his parents, Ferdinand and Lela; five sisters, Evelyn, Lois, Glennys, Karen, and Sharon; and four brothers, Clifford, Duane, Ronald and Jerome.

Funeral service for Marvin will be held Friday, December 13, 2024, at 1pm in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service of Moorhead, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Sabin, MN.
