Mary Taylor, 75, Fargo, ND, died Monday, January 15, 2018, in Elim Rehab and Care Center, Fargo.
Mary Ann Kuntz was born May 17, 1942, in Billings, MT, where she grew up. She attended Billings Senior High School and graduated in 1960. She furthered her education at Billings Business College and Eastern Montana College and eventually landed a job working as the secretary for a radio station in Glendive, MT. The station put her on the air as a broadcaster and that started her 40+ year career in radio. It was at this same radio station she would meet her future husband.
On July 17, 1965, Mary married Leland Taylor in Missoula, MT. In October of 1967 the Taylors moved to Fargo, where they both were on-air personalities for KFNW Radio. Over her long career, Mary had the opportunity to interview many Christian celebrities.
Mary had a strong Christian faith and served her Lord in many ways. She was articulate and always strived for perfection. She loved to read, play the piano and sing but what she enjoyed the most was children and animals.
Mary is survived by a daughter, Kami Jo (Travis) Lindsey, Kindred, ND; four grandsons, Zackary Ryckman, Gage Lindsey, Zarrett Ryckman, and Zaden Ryckman; two brothers, Don (Bonnie) and Del Kuntz in Montana; a sister-in-law, Lu Taylor, Hutchinson, MN; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee, who died in 2002, her parents, two grandchildren, and an older sister.
Visitation for Mary will be Thursday, 4 PM until 6 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN. Her funeral service will be Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at 2:30 PM, in Bethel Evangelical Free Church, Fargo.
