Mary Ann Ellis, 95, Fargo, ND, died Monday, July 4, 2005, in Bethany Homes, Fargo.
Mary Ann Ellis was born November 4, 1909, in Minneapolis, MN. Her mother and father died when Mary Ann was very young and she was raised in Moorhead, MN, where she lived with her uncle.
Mary Ann graduated from Moorhead State Teachers College and taught in the Moorhead school district from 1949 to 1975. She also taught in Georgetown, Lake Park, Hawley and Bagley, MN.
Mary Ann retired but continued to make her home in Moorhead until she entered Bethany Homes, Fargo, in 1993.
Mary Ann left no immediate family but she is survived by the many students she taught over the years and the difference she made in their lives through her selfless love, dedication and commitment to education.
Visitation: one half-hour prior to the funeral at the church.
Funeral Mass: Monday, July 11, 2005 - 8 AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moorhead.
Burial: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead.
