Mary "Betty" Nohr

Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Nohr passed away peacefully on February 14, 2019, at Pelican Valley Health Center in Pelican Rapids, MN. She was 99 years of age.
Betty McBride was born May 29, 1919, to Iva and Thomas McBride at Tower City, ND. She graduated from high school in Tower City in 1938. She married Albert "Al" Nohr, July 2, 1938, in Fargo, ND. They were married 59 years until his death in 1997. They lived in Tower City, Redding, CA, Fargo, Moorhead, Cormorant Lake and Dilworth, MN. They spent winters in Bullhead City, AZ, for ten years. She worked at Herbst department store in Fargo for 27 years and Kmart in Dilworth for seven years.
She enjoyed dancing, bowling, camping and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and a member of the Eagles marching band.
After her husband Al, passed away, Betty spent her summers at her lake home on Leek Lake near Vergas, MN, and her winters in Bullhead City at a RV park where she enjoyed dancing at the Jam session every Friday night.
She is survived by three children, Barbara (John) Bruner, Sandra (Dick) Deilke , and Warren (LuJean); ten grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister and two brothers, son Darryl (Sandy), and five grandchildren.
A visitation for Mary will be held one hour prior to the service. The funeral service will be Friday, May 17, 2019, at 1:00 PM in Dilworth Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Buffalo, ND.
