Mary Jane Pfau, age 84, Fargo, ND, died Sunday, July 3, 2011 in Sanford Hospital, Fargo.
Mary Jane Lee, the daughter of Clarence and Ellen (Weatherhead) Lee, was born in Fargo, on July 23, 1926. She grew up and received her education in Fargo-Moorhead area. In September of 1947, Mary Jane married Andrew Pfau. They made their home in the FM area, and were later divorced.
Mary Jane moved to California in about 1982. She returned to the FM area in 2004. Her daughter, Teresa, was in a disabling car accident, and Mary Jane became her major caregiver. In 2007, Mary Jane became a resident of Rosewood on Broadway.
She is survived by six children, Joe (Cecelia) Pfau, Odenton, Maryland, Bernard (Gayle) Pfau, Fargo, John (Loretta) Pfau, Fontana, CA, Teresa Pfau, Fargo, Paul (Luz) Pfau, Anaheim, CA, and Diane (Toby) Slusser, Pomona, CA; a brother, Robert (Joyce) Lee, Moorhead; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents; and three siblings, Clarence, Dan and Cecelia.
