Mary Jane Soholt

Mary Jane Soholt, 88, of Moorhead, MN, formerly of Mayville, ND, died Monday, December 15, 2014, in Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo, ND.

Mary Jane Lilleberg was born August 13, 1926, the daughter of Jorgen and Agnes (Overland) Lilleberg, in Parshall, ND. The family moved to a farm by Mayville, where she attended the Lindass Country School and graduated from Mayville High School in 1944. She was employed for over 40 years at Union Hospital in Mayville, retiring in 1991.

On August 17, 1947, Mary Jane was married to Arlin D. Soholt on her family farm. She was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Brethren Church in Mayville, where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. After retiring and moving to Fargo in 1991, she became a member of Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church in Moorhead, where she was a part of Primetimers and was a prayer warrior for Triumph's youth and pastors. She was a discussion and children's leader for Bible Study Fellowship. She also cared for many children in MOPS. Mary Jane had a deep and abiding faith in God that sustained her throughout her life. In 2008, she and Arlin entered Eventide Independent Living Facility in Moorhead. Mary Jane and Arlin had 65 wonderful years together before he passed away in 2013. She entered Eventide on Eighth in 2013.

Mary Jane is survived by her sons, Mark (Janet) Soholt, Cape Coral, FL, and Ray Soholt, Cambridge, MN; her daughters, Ann (Brad) Grosz, Dilworth, MN, and Mae (Rick) Rogness, Minot, ND; brother, George (Janice) Lilleberg, Mayville; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlin; her parents; and her sister, Inez Lilleberg.

Memorial gifts may be given to Lutheran Brethren Seminary.

Visitation will be Thursday, from 4 to 7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Funeral service will be Friday, December 19, 2014, at 11 AM in Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church, Moorhead. Burial will be Friday at 3 PM in Mayville Cemetery, Mayville, ND.
