Mary Kay Murphy

Mary Kay, the daughter of Roy and Bernice (LaFay) Murphy was born October 18, 1955, in Fargo, ND. She grew up and received her education in Moorhead, where she graduated from high school in 1974.

As a young lady, she first did childcare for local families. She later worked in restaurants and in local hotels. Finally, she worked for many years in the food court of West Acres Shopping Center.
Mary Kay enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls. She loved her three dogs, Bandit, Charlie Daniels and Wilhelmina.

Mary Kay died on Saturday, March 21, 2015, in a hospital in Maplewood, MN, at the age of 59. She is survived by two sisters, Elaine Murphy, Moorhead, and Mary Ann Coe, Seattle, WA; and a brother, Ron Murphy, Moorhead. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Donald and John.

Visitation is Wednesday, 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM, with a prayer service at 6:30 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Funeral service is Thursday, March 26, 2015, at 11 AM in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead.

Burial is at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead.
