Mary L. Melheim
August 23, 1928 — January 21, 2016
Mary Lorraine Melheim, 87, Moorhead, MN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at ManorCare Health Services, Fargo, ND. A memorial service was held at Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, with Rev's. Kathy and Matt Valan.
Mary graduated from St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN, and went on to teach and guide multiple generations of children at Carl Ben Eilson Elementary School in Fargo. She enjoyed her church, The Lutheran Church of Christ the King, family, friends, reading, crossword puzzles and of course, her Minnesota Twins and Vikings.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Franklin; and her parents, Grace and Edgar Voyen of Pipestone, MN.
Mary is survived by her sons, Steven of Nevis, MN, and Greg of Chicago, IL; daughter-in-law, Barb; two grandchildren, Jessica of Minneapolis, MN, and Aaron of Los Angeles, CA; two great-grandchildren, Henry and Jax; brother, Jim (Carol); and numerous nieces and nephews.
