Mary Lucille Gade

December 8, 1920 — March 28, 2008

Mary Lucille Burkett, the daughter of Charles and Pearl (Anderson) Burkett, was born Dec. 8, 1920, in Grandin, ND. She grew up on the farm in the Grandin-Argusville area and graduated as valedictorian of her class from Argusville High School.
On August 13, 1938, Lucille married Neils Gade in Moorhead, MN. They made their home in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Lucille worked as a cook for the Armour meatpacking plant, and at Washington Elementary School in Moorhead. She retired in 1991. After retirement, Lucille continued to live in Moorhead. In 2004, she became a resident of Golden Living Center, Moorhead.
Mary Lucille Gade died Friday, March 28, 2008, in MeritCare Palliative Care, Fargo, at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neils, who died in 1979; son, Sidney; her parents; five sisters; and two brothers.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara (Harley) Baker, Rochester, MN, Janice (Joe) Swenson, Brooklyn Park, MN, and Jeanne (Clint) Hall, Grand Forks, ND; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, April 4, 2008, from 6 PM until 8 PM,
Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Funeral service: Saturday, April 5, 2008, 2008, at 2 PM in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
