Mary M. Olson, 96, Moorhead, MN, died Sunday, December 9, 2007, in the Golden Living Center, Moorhead.
Mary Margaret Johnson was born on August 22, 1911, to John and Mary (Horan) Johnson in Lake Park, MN, where she grew up and graduated from high school.
On June 30, 1937, Mary married Olaf Olson in Frazee, MN, and they made their home in Lake Park. They then moved to Detroit Lakes, MN, and eventually settled in Moorhead around 1944. Mary lovingly cared for her mother for many years and after her mother's death, Mary babysat children in her home.
In 1977, Olaf died and Mary continued to make her home in Moorhead. She lived in her own home at Park View Terrace until the age of 92 when she became a resident of the Golden Living Center.
Mary loved to cook and bake and was known as the "cookie grandma" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family and Mary's faith were extremely important to her.
Mary is survived by a son, Robert (Sandy) Olson, Moorhead; two daughters, Yvonne Toutant, Fargo, ND, and Loretta (Richard) LeSage, Ponsford, MN; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was precede

Funeral Mass: Friday, December 14, 2007, at 10:30 AM, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moorhead.
Burial: St. Francis Xavier Church Cemetery, Lake Park.
