Maurice K. Floberg, 89, of Moorhead, MN, died Sunday, March 19, 2017, in Eventide Fargo, Fargo, ND.
Maurice Kenneth Floberg was born October 24, 1927, the son of Oluf and Tilda Marie (Engen) Floberg, in Skree Township, rural Hawley, MN. He was raised in Hawley and graduated from Hawley High School in 1945. Maurice then entered the U.S. Army in 1946 serving during the end of WWII. After his discharge, in 1947, he returned to Hawley and worked on the Gruhl Farm.
He then moved to Moorhead where he went to work for American Crystal Sugar. He later worked as a parts-man for Corwin Automotive, Berg Motors and General Parts until his retirement. On September 15, 1973, he was united in marriage to Garnet A. Graff at Hegland Lutheran Church, rural Hawley. They established their home in Moorhead and Garnet passed away on August 6, 2015.
Maurice is survived by his sister-in-law, Alice Floberg; and by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Garnet; brothers, Orville, LeRoy, Vinton, Vincent, and Clifton; and sister, Vivian Wensel.
A visitation for Maurice will be Wednesday from 5 PM to 7 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel.
His Funeral Service will be Thursday, March 23, 2017, at 2 PM, in Hegland Lutheran Church, rural Hawley.
Burial will be in Hegland Lutheran Cemetery.
