Michael D. Gulstad

Michael D. Gulstad, age 56 of rural Pelican Rapids, MN died Thursday, August 17, 2006 at Meritcare Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Michael DeWayne Gulstad was born April 26, 1950, in Pelican Rapids to Chester and Lorraine (Sather) Gulstad. He grew up in the Pelican Rapids area where he received his education and graduated in the Pelican Rapids High School class of 1968.
He served a short time in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. For many years, he operated his own over-the-road truck and was employed by area trucking companies. Michael has been disabled since 1974.
Over the years, Michael enjoyed his family and many friends. He especially appreciated and road motorcycles in spite of health difficulties. Michael also enjoyed the outdoors and many different types of animals.
Michael is survived by the love of his life, Cynthia Nelson, their daughter; Megan Nelson of Pelican Rapids, Cyndy's daughter and son, Tina Nelson of Moorhead and Josh Nelson of Pelican Rapids. Also surviving are two daughters of a previous marriage, Karen Gulstad of Pelican Rapids and JoHanna Bronson of St. Cloud, and his mother, Lorraine Gulstad of Pelican Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Linda.
VISITATION: Sunday, August 20, 2006 ~ 7 - 8 PM, with a prayer service at 8 PM in Rollag Lutheran Church Rollag, MN.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Monday, August 21, 2006 ~ 11 AM in Rollag Lutheran Church.

INURNMENT: Rollag Lutheran Cemetery, Rollag.
