Michael Kolterman

Michael Louis Kolterman was born September 7, 1959, in Aberdeen, SD, where he grew up and received his education. Following his college graduation, he worked for a number of businesses in various communities as a manager in restaurants.

On July 23, 1994, Michael married Caryn Preston Nicolay in New Hope, MN. They lived in New Hope, Faribault, Hollandale, and Monticello, all MN, before moving recently to Moorhead, MN. In Moorhead, Michael worked as the assistant manager of the deli department in Hornbacher's Grocery in Fargo, ND.

Michael loved to tinker with things. He enjoyed gardening, and, he enjoyed fishing, especially on Rainy Lake in northern Minnesota.
Michael's faith in Jesus was strong. While living in Monticello his faith deepened and became a source of comfort in his illnesses.

Michael died August 2, 2015, in Fairview-University Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN, at the age of 55. He is survived by his loving wife, Caryn, Moorhead; son, Alexander, Moorhead; a sister, Sharon Schlepp, Windom, MN; two nieces and a great-nieces and two great-nephews.

Visitation for Michael will be Saturday, August 15, 2015, from 10 AM until 11 AM in Fargo (ND) Baptist Church, followed by his funeral service, Saturday at 11.
