Michael O. Gillette, 49, Santa Monica, CA, formerly of Dilworth, MN, died Monday, March 30, 2009 in California.
Michael was born May 15, 1959, in Moorhead, MN. He was raised in Dilworth where he graduated from high school in 1977. He then attended Hennepin College in Eden Prairie, MN, graduating in 1980.
Michael lived and worked in the Bloomington, MN, area for eleven years where he worked as a brick layer/mason. He returned to Moorhead with his family in 1991, and started his own business, Gillette Masonry Inc. He spent time working in New Orleans, LA, Las Vegas, NV, Van Nuys, CA, and Santa Monica until his death.
He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Betty Gillette, Dilworth; two sons, Nathan and Brandon Gillette, both of Fargo, ND; Kayla and Kadie Gillette, both of Argusville, ND; three brothers, Kenneth (Julie) Gillette, Glyndon, MN, Kevin Gillette, Moorhead, and Kyle (Stacy) Gillette, Beaver Creek, MN; and a sister, Stacy Gillette, Beulah, ND.
Memorial Service: Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 1:30 PM in Dilworth Lutheran Church, Dilworth.
