Mildred A. Hall

Mildred Hall, age 88, Halstad, MN, formerly of Fargo, ND, died Saturday, August 25, 2018, in Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo.
Mildred Adeline Bjerkan, daughter of Ingval and Magda (Rothe) Bjerkan, was born in Bottineau, ND, on March 19, 1930. She grew up and received her education in Glenburn, ND. She attended and graduated as a registered nurse from Trinity Hospital School of Nursing, Minot, ND. She worked as an RN in Nebraska, Chicago, IL, VA hospitals in Minot and Fargo, and in the hospital in Ada, MN.
In June of 1958, Mildred married Harold Rask. They lived and farmed near Hendrum, MN. Mr. Rask died in July of 1970. Following his death, the family moved into Hendrum, and Mildred continued to work in the Ada hospital.
On June 11, 1976, Mildred married Donald W. Hall. They lived in Hendrum, Moorhead, MN, and Apache Junction, AZ, before moving to Fargo in 2006. Mr. Hall died February 26, 2008. After his death, Mildred became a resident of Edgewood Vista in Fargo, where she lived until recently becoming a resident of Halstad Living Center.
Mildred enjoyed doing handwork such as crocheting. She enjoyed baking and was known for her wonderful rhubarb pie. As a farm wife, she had a big garden and did much canning.
Mildred is survived by her two children, James (Kelly) Rask, Mandeville, LA, and Mary Aladimi, Dayton, Ohio; a sister, Eloise Kyper; and eight grandchildren, Hailee and James Rask, and Ameera, Jameela, Karim, Laila, Asma and Nadia Aladimi. She was preceded in death by her two husbands; her parents; a sister, Doris; and a granddaughter.
Visitation for Mildred will be Tuesday, August 28, 2018, from 11 AM until 1 PM, followed by her funeral service at 1 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. She will be buried in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Hendrum.
