Mildred E. Holliman, the daughter of Joseph and Leona Bess (Hill) Holliman was born in Fries, Virginia, on October 27, 1924. She grew up and received her education in Virginia and was married there to Munsey Fender Jr., on October 8, 1941.
Mildred and Munsey lived in a number of places, including Des Plaines, Illinois, where they both worked at the Littelfuse Plant. Mildred retired in about 1967. In 2004, they moved to Byron, MN, and later to Moorhead, MN.
Following Munsey's death in 2006, Mildred, continued to live in Moorhead. Mildred died Thursday, July 16, 2009, in a Fargo, ND, hospital, at the age of 84. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joe Holliman Jr.; half-brother, John Patton; and a half-sister, Della Wherly.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Judy (Allen) Geffe, of Moorhead; granddaughter, Colleen (Thorvald) Geffe-Dahle, Moorhead; great-grandsons, Seth and Noah Dahle; and half-brothers, James (Frieda) Patton, and Herbert (Fran) Patton.
Following a private family service, Mildred will be buried next to her husband, Munsey, in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Moorhead.
