Milo Pedersen

It is with great sadness, that we announce the death of Milo Chris Pedersen, 91, of Fargo, ND, on Friday, December 18, 2015, in the VA Medical Center, Fargo.

Milo, the son of Chris and Anna (Christensen) Pedersen, was born August 19, 1924, in Dover, MN, one of eight children. He graduated from St. Charles High School in 1942.

Milo was a sergeant in the US Army Air Force, stationed in Roswell, NM. He joined following the bombing of Pearl Harbor. At the end of WW II, Milo returned to Minnesota and farmed. He eventually worked for Banister Engineering, which brought him to Flasher, ND, where he met and on October 28, 1952, married Viola "Ole" Schmidt.

In Flasher, Milo worked as a mechanic at Diechert Chevrolet and owned and operated Milo's Service Station.

Milo and Ole moved to Mandan, ND, where Milo worked for Massey Ferguson for 23 years, and transferred to Fargo in 1974.

Milo was an American Legion member continuously for 70 years, and a member of "40 et 8". He served as a Boy Scout leader for many years. He loved fishing, hunting, camping and sports, but the center of his world was his family.

Milo is survived by his wife of 63 years, Viola, of Fargo; children, Jay (partner, Cheryl Hagen) Pedersen and Jan (James) Carlson; eight grandchildren, Brandi (Bradley) Nesdahl, Christi (Brandon) Sorvik, Hailey Carlson, Michael Pedersen, Brandon Pedersen, Tyler Pedersen, Tyler Raben, and Cody Pedersen; four great-grandchildren, Koltyn Nesdahl and Izaiah, Mathias, and Asher Sorvik; a sister, Darlene (Myron) Grills; a cousin, Bennett Juhl; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and a sister.
Milo was very loved and will be missed by all.

Visitation for Mr. Pedersen will be Tuesday, Dec. 22nd, from 1 PM until 2 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. His funeral service will follow at 2 PM.

Burial will be at a later date in the ND Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.
