Milton Anderson, age 84, of Fargo, ND, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, in his home in Touchmark at Harwood Groves, Fargo.

Milton Gerome Anderson, the son of Garfield and Mabel (Lere) Anderson, was born February 19, 1927, in LaMoure, ND, where he grew up and went to school. After his high school graduation, he attended Dakota Business College in Fargo, and then returned to LaMoure.

Milton served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He served in San Francisco, CA. After his discharge, Milton returned to LaMoure and worked for First State Bank of LaMoure. He received additional education from the Graduate School of Banking in Boulder, CO. He retired as executive vice president of the bank in about 1989.

Milton was united in marriage to Pearl Irene Oien on April 26, 1958, in Litchville, ND. Following their marriage they lived in LaMoure. Milt and Pearl were very active in the LaMoure community. He served on the school board, and in numerous other activities. They were both active in their churches, High Prairie Lutheran Church in LaMoure, and Atonement Lutheran Church, in Fargo, where the couple lived after retiring.

Milton is survived by two daughters, Marcia (Tim) Siegle, Cavalier, ND, and Kirsten (Jeff) Swanson, Rockford, MI; five grandchildren, Aaron (Jenny) Siegle, Ryan (Kirsten) Siegle, Sarah Siegle, Jacob Swanson and Micah Swanson; great-grand- daughter, Hope Juliet Siegle; a brother, Kenneth (Ione) Anderson; and a sister, Darlene (Myron) Schober. Milton was preceded in death by his dear wife, Pearl, who died on September 16, 2011; his parents; and a brother, Gordon.

Visitation: Monday, from 5 PM to 7 PM, with a service at 7 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN.

Funeral: Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at 11 AM in Atonement Lutheran Church, Fargo.

Burial: High Prairie Lutheran Cemetery, LaMoure, ND.
