Minnie C. Ellenson

Minnie Christine Fjelstad was born September 1, 1910, in Kindred, ND, to Johan and Aletta (Korslein) Fjelstad. Minnie was raised in the Kindred area, where she received her education.
At twenty-one years of age, Minnie moved to Gardner, ND. She was married to Carl Ellenson on June 13, 1942, at Perley, MN, and they lived and farmed in the Gardner area.
Carl died December 9, 1984, and Minnie continued to make her home in the area. Minnie moved to New Hope, MN, approximately five years ago. She died Thursday, April 15, 2010, at Ambassador Good Samaritan Center, New Hope, at ninety-nine years of age.
Minnie is survived by her stepson, Lloyd (Claire) Ellenson; her sister, Geneva (Herbert) Ellenson; seven grandchildren, David Brenden, Loren Brenden, Keith Brenden, Linda Parmer, Sheila Davis, Ron Ellenson, and Shannon Dietrich; eleven great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marlene Peterson, and a stepdaughter, Shirley Brenden.
Memorial service: Monday, April 26, 2010, at 11 AM, in Nora Lutheran Church, rural Gardner, ND.
